Sr. Pastor / Elder - LeRoy Wagner
LeRoy Wagner began serving as teaching pastor at Dayspring shortly after the church formed in 2004. He received his BA in Biblical studies from OBU with additional theological training from Criswell College in Dallas Texas. LeRoy has served as a pastor and speaker for more than thirty years (starting with his first message as a thirteen-year-old kid!). The supreme love of his life is Jesus Christ, then his wife, Kimberly, their children and grandchildren. LeRoy’s greatest desire is to see God’s glory fill the earth, and he believes that begins with training the members of Dayspring to live out the gospel in their homes and through their daily life experiences.

"Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." — LUKE 1:78-79
Dayspring exists to bring glory to God by advancing His kingdom through bringing the lost into the family of God and bringing the family of God to maturity in Christ (Matthew 28:19-20). Our purpose as individuals and as a body of believers is to fill the earth with God’s glory (Numbers 14:21; Habakkuk 2:14) through reflecting the transforming power of the Gospel.
A Family Integrated Church
Dayspring desires to return to the simple form of operating as seen in the New Testament. We follow the model of discipleship as outlined in Titus 2:1-8. We practice family integrated worship and encourage families to continue studying and worshiping together throughout the week. We take seriously the responsibility of reaching the next generation by teaching our children as outlined in Scripture (Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Psalm 78) and encourage our fathers to serve their families as spiritual leaders.
A Southern Baptist Church
We hold to the Baptist Faith and Message statement adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention, June 14, 2000 as our doctrinal statement.
What We Believe
We believe Christ is the Head and final authority of the church. His Word, the Bible, is the binding and final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe the Bible was inspired by God, is inerrant and infallible in the original autographs, and is preserved by God in such a way as to be authoritative and totally reliable today. We believe that only through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ can our sins be atoned and eternal life obtained.
